Becoming a Market Stallholder
The Seaford Farmers Market presents local Victorian growers with a great opportunity to sell their fresh produce while helping to contribute to the fundraising efforts of the Rotary Club of Frankston.
It regularly attracts up to 1,000 visitors and there are currently more than 40 stallholders registered with around 30 attending each market.
The market is setup and managed by club volunteers and all money raised from the stallholder fee goes to support local, national and international projects.
What is the cost of holding a stall?
The stallholder fee is $50.00 and is collected from stallholders on market day.
As the Rotary Club of Frankston is a not-for-profit organisation, this amount is GST free.
Who can apply?
The market is primarily for edible Victorian fresh produce sold by its growers, and manufacturers who grow their own ingredients. Re-sellers are generally not permitted.
Some manufacturers will be accepted on the basis that they are:
1. Producers of a ‘staple’ household food item (ie bread).
2. Producers of a product, which is particularly unique and/or unavailable elsewhere.
3. Stall holders, which support a local community group (egg fundraising / cake stall).
The person attending the stall should ordinarily be involved in a permanent, hands-on capacity in the production of the products.
Manufacturers who do not grow their own ingredients may not bring goods that compete with those made by primary producers from their own-grown produce.
A detailed set of rules for Stallholders applies to all successful applicants.
